The M-Tac Norman fleece jacket is suitable for cold weather due to the WindBlock material and Softshell inserts. Made of 100% polyester. The WindBlock membrane grid structure is designed for low and extreme temperatures, so that 80% of body heat is reflected from the surface towards the interior, and only 20% (excess heat during active actions at low temperatures) leaves the membrane grid. Most modern fabrics with a polyurethane spray membrane surface are not designed for extremely low temperatures, as the polyurethane hardens at low temperatures, leading to overall fabric stiffening. The consequence of this is the characteristic "crackling" when you move. The WindBlock thermal membrane fabric does not use polyurethane spray to protect the membrane, but rather a dense, structured pile of polyester (both inside and outside the membrane) that protects the membrane from the effects of low temperatures, abrasion (both inside and outside), and creates an additional layer of warming Windblock air outward.
