Short History

The AK74 is an assault rifle manufactured in the early 1970s by the Soviet weapons designer Mikhail Kalashnikov. The rifle first entered service with the Soviet forces in the conflict in Afghanistan in 1979. The manufacturer E&L, currently specializing in accessories for real firearms, has managed to capture the essence of the AK in this wonderful replica designed for airsoft.

Exterior of the Replica

The exterior design is already well-known to us, as it has been used in many movies, TV shows, and video games. According to military specifications, the ELS-74N replica is an exact copy of the AK74, from the materials used to the weight. The body, stock, and trigger of the replica are made of steel, while the magazine and handle are made of ABS plastic. For added realism in handling this replica, the handguard is made of authentic wood. The replica weighs and is balanced like a real firearm, providing players with a high degree of realism.

To ensure a comfortable position even in the narrowest play areas, the stock can be folded to the left. The replica is covered with a specific oil used for machining tools, which protects the product during transport against moisture and other impurities. The mixture of oil and steel emits a unique smell, well known to true airsoft players.

Interior of the Replica

When it comes to the internals of an E&L AK replica, things are better than expected. The heavy lifting is done by the reinforced V3 gearbox built to the highest standards, with 9mm bearings. The replica also features the ASTER V3. The pneumatic system consists of a set made up of a silent piston and cylinder head, which extend the life of the system. To ensure that attention is focused on hitting targets and not on handling the weapon, the manufacturer has equipped this rifle with a quick spring change system. The precision of the replica is provided by the internal 6.04mm diameter barrel. The propulsion speed is 115-120m/s, measured with 0.20g BBs.

Power Source

The replica comes with a 150-round ABS plastic Mid-Cap magazine, oil reservoir, and Magwell spacer. Neither a battery nor a battery charger are included. LiPo 7.4-11.1V batteries can be used. To ensure the replica functions at its maximum capacity, only quality consumables should be used.
