Product Description
Presentation
KRYTAC is a relatively new company in the market, producing high-quality AEG replicas. The somewhat short time confirms that this company indeed offers products that meet a large part of the needs of today's airsoft players. What is truly interesting is that despite its young age, KRYTAC does not shy away from innovation, already launching an improved series of replicas on the market. In airsoft, any improvement is a step forward and should be noted and appreciated.
Exterior of the replica
The model in question is called the Trident PDW-M MK2 and is intended for close-quarter battles. The total length of the replica with the stock extended is 609 mm, easily classifying it in the SMG category. It is made from aluminum alloys, significantly reducing weight and greatly improving maneuverability. The weight of the replica is 2400g.
The licensed Defiance® TR-205 M-Lok front system represents an upgrade over the previous PDW series, both aesthetically and practically. There is a standard rail along the entire top of the replica where slim sights included in the package or an advanced sighting system can be mounted.
The licensed Defiance® grip and forward assist add visual satisfaction. The trigger is CNC manufactured and features a straight design intended to improve trigger response. Above the grip, there is an ambidextrous sling attachment made of steel. The fire selector is ambidextrous. The mag catch is on the right side, and the bolt catch is functional, useful for adjusting the hop-up adjustment. The stock of the replica, Gen.2 "Compact Carbine Stock," features a new design with a fresh look and improved utility. The battery compartment can be accessed with one hand, without tools.
Interior of the replica
The interesting part is the gearbox. Designed by Krytac with great care and attention, this gearbox is possibly one of the most reliable on the market at this moment. The alloy and design of the gearbox have nearly eliminated issues caused by high rates of fire or spring problems. The gearbox design is relatively standard, allowing for the replacement of most internal components at will.
The inner barrel has a diameter of 6.05mm and a length of 155mm. The hop-up chamber is of the "rotary" type, and the hop-up rubber is equipped with a notched nub to improve grouping.
As for internal features, the gearbox is equipped with 8mm bearings, steel gears, a polycarbonate piston with 4 steel teeth, a 30K motor with neodymium magnets, and let's not forget the ability to replace the spring without disassembling the gearbox. All these parts allow for the use of 11.1V batteries without issues, generating a rate of fire of 21-22rps.
Essential is the mosfet unit for contact protection. This mosfet will improve battery consumption as well as the performance of the replica, completely eliminating the general electric arc of traditional mechanical contact.
Power Supply
The replica is delivered with a 300-round hicap magazine. We recommend that upon purchasing it, you also consider a battery and a charger for this battery. The replica can operate with both 9.6V NiMH batteries as well as 7.4V and 11.1V LiPo batteries. The battery compartment is inside the retractable stock. We recommend using BBs with a weight of 0.25g for optimal performance. Do not reuse BBs and do not use low-quality BBs as they may damage the replica.
