Brief History

Designed in the 1890s by John Browning, intended to represent a step forward from the revolvers of that time. The project was continued by Colt Industries and after rigorous testing, the project was approved. In 1911, it was introduced into the standard equipment of the U.S. Army. The pistol was revised in 1924, with minor modifications to its exterior appearance. Since then, it has remained unchanged. After a century of use worldwide, the Colt 1911 remains the most significant pistol in human history.

Exterior of the Replica

The WE 1911 Gold replica will hardly go unnoticed on an airsoft field. The body of the pistol is made entirely of metal. The grips are made of ABS plastic. The sights of the replica are fixed but well-aligned. Similar to the real weapon, the replica is equipped with a safety on the grip and another for the hammer and slide. The operation of the replica is similar to that of the real weapon. To operate, the slide must first be racked to chamber the first BB and cock the hammer. From there, the gas-operated blowback will semi-automatically re-cock for each shot.

Interior of the Replica

The internal mechanisms of the replica, such as the blowback mechanism and hop-up chamber, are made of metal, contributing to good reliability. The hop-up chamber is equipped with adjustable hop-up. The hop-up adjustment is accessible by removing the slide. Using green gas and 0.20g BBs, the replica will propel BBs at 100-105 m/s.
