Brief History

The history of the USP model begins in 1989, when the German company Heckler & Koch starts research for a modern pistol for that time, capable of providing military groups and American law enforcement with a reliable platform. In 1993, the first model chambered in .40 S&W is released. Over the following years, H&K attempts to optimize this pistol as much as possible, designing a series of models with various calibers and technological advantages. At some point in history, the USP is adopted by the German army Bundeswehr and the German police forces. Currently, there are at least 10 USP models aimed at all fields of activity, military, law enforcement, special forces, civilian, sport shooting, and many others.

Exterior of the Replica

Compared to the real firearm, this replica manufactured by Umarex is made from ABS. Its design closely resembles the USP Match produced by H&K. At the front, there is a purely ornamental plastic compensator. The slide catch is made of plastic and serves no purpose. To release the magazine, the ambidextrous lever under the trigger guard will be used. Just like the real firearm, the safety is on the left side and can only be activated when the hammer is cocked. The hammer serves no functional role and is purely ornamental, used only for operating the safety.

Interior of the Replica

The internal mechanism of the replica is made from plastic and metal and operates with manual action. Cocking the hammer and loading BBs is done strictly by pulling the slide back to the locked position. The replica does not feature an adjustable hop-up. The velocity of the BBs is 50-60 m/s with 0.20g BBs. The inner barrel is made of aluminum.

Feeding

As mentioned earlier, the replica operates through manual cocking. For each shot, the slide must be reloaded. The magazine holds 25 plastic BBs of 6mm, and we recommend using BBs weighing between 0.20g and 0.25g of superior quality for optimal performance. Since the replica does not operate with gas, CO2, or electric power, it can be used in almost any weather conditions. We do not recommend reusing BBs or using low-quality BBs as it may damage the replica.
