Product Description
Brief History
Designed in the 1890s by John Browning, intended to represent a step forward from the revolvers of that time. The project was continued by Colt Industries and after rigorous testing, the project was approved. In 1911, it was introduced as standard equipment for the U.S. Army. The pistol was revised in 1924, with minor modifications to its exterior appearance. Since then, it has remained unchanged. After a century of use worldwide, the Colt 1911 remains the most significant pistol in human history.
Exterior of the Replica
KWC does a good job of replicating the real firearm, but the operating principle is different. The replica does not feature recoil, although the slide can be pulled back to allow for cocking the mechanism. This airsoft replica is made from ABS plastic.
Interior of the Replica
The internal mechanism of the replica is made from plastic and metal and operates with manual action. Cocking the hammer and loading BBs is done strictly by pulling the slide back to the locked position. The replica does not feature an adjustable hop-up.
