Brief History

Walther PP was the most important pistol platform of the interwar period. It was designed and manufactured by the German company Walther, and began its "service" in 1929 within law enforcement agencies. As the title "Polizei Pistole" suggests, it translates to the Policeman's Pistol. This pistol was highly regarded among law enforcement as well as civilians due to its reliability and compact size. In 1931, the PPK model, "Polizei Pistole Kriminalmodell" or Detective Policeman's Pistol, was launched. This model is smaller than the classic PP, making it even easier to carry and operate. Combining the PP model with the PPK resulted in 1968, as a constraint from the GCA68 (Gun Control Act of 1968) in the United States, the PPK/S platform. This pistol combines the capacity of the PP with the reduced size of the PPK's frame. Regardless of the model, the PP/PPK remains one of the most beloved pistols among secret law enforcement, espionage agents, and others. We can fondly mention the James Bond series, where the PPK is often the signature of secret agent 007.

Exterior of the Replica

Compared to the real firearm, this replica manufactured by Umarex has a metal upper part and an ABS lower part. Its design closely resembles the P22 manufactured by Walther. Like the real firearm, the safety is on the left side and can be operated regardless of the hammer's position.

Interior of the Replica

The internal mechanism of the replica is made of plastic and metal and operates with manual action. Cocking the hammer and loading BBs is done strictly by pulling the slide back to the locked position. The replica does not feature an adjustable hop-up.
