Product Description
Brief History
SIG Sauer P226 E2 was launched in 2010 at the SHOT Show event. E2 stands for E squared (Enhanced Ergonomics), which means improved ergonomics. And it truly is. The E2 model was designed to provide a better grip even for individuals with smaller hands and to improve small operational aspects. This model was not produced in very large numbers, and by the end of the same year, production ceased. However, the grip design for ergonomics was retained.
Exterior of the Replica
Manufactured by KJW, SIG P226 E2 accurately replicates the real pistol. It is made mostly of quality metal, respecting the functions of the real weapon. One example is the decocking function. If the airsoft replica is cocked but you no longer wish to shoot, you can use your thumb to operate the decocking button, bringing the airsoft replica to a safe state. The pistol is of the Double Action type, meaning that when the trigger is pulled, the hammer of the airsoft replica is cocked and then released, triggering the firing mechanism.
Internals of the Replica
This airsoft replica features a Hop-Up system that is adjustable; to access the adjustment, the slide must be removed, with the adjustment located under the Hop-Up chamber. The Hop-Up is of high quality, providing the BB with a straight trajectory. The magazine can hold 26 BBs. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance. The airsoft replica has a speed of 80-85 meters per second measured with 0.20g BBs. Notably, this pistol can also operate with CO2, an important feature for those cold winter days.
Power Source
The airsoft replica operates on both Green Gas and CO2. For optimal performance, the airsoft replica should be used in normal atmospheric conditions, above 15°C. With a full gas charge, the airsoft replica can operate the entire magazine, and at the end, it locks the slide in a warning position for an empty magazine.
Periodically, the airsoft replica should be cleaned and lubricated according to the recommendations in the Service and Care section. This way, the airsoft replica can function correctly for a long time.
