Product Description
Short History
Designed in the 1890s by John Browning to represent an advancement from the existing revolvers at that time. The project was continued by Colt Industries and after intense testing, the project was approved. In 1911, it was introduced as standard equipment in the American army. The pistol was revised in 1924, with minor changes to its exterior. Since then, it has remained unchanged. After a century of use worldwide, the Colt 1911 remains the most significant pistol in human history.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica, manufactured by Army Armament, is made almost entirely of metal. The only ABS plastic elements are the handle grips. The sights of the replica are fixed but well-oriented. At the front of the replica, there is a standard rail that allows the attachment of accessories such as lasers or flashlights. The replica has two safeties: a trigger safety located at the back of the handle, preventing firing without a firm grip on the gun; and a thumb safety for the hammer, which is ambidextrous and can only be used when the hammer is cocked. The functioning of the replica is similar to a real firearm. Cocking the gun primes the internal mechanism and loads a BB into the barrel. The pistol features recoil, which, like a real gun, assists in loading the next BB and re-cocking the mechanism.
Interior of the Replica
The internals of the replica are made of metal. When operated correctly and maintained properly, it is a durable replica with low chances of malfunction. The magazine can hold 24 6mm BBs.
To disassemble the replica, the slide catch needs to be removed, and then the slide is released forward. Through this operation, you can also access the HopUp adjustment, a constant and precise adjustment. The accuracy of this airsoft replica is very good. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance. The speed of the replica measured with 0.20g BBs is 90-95 meters per second.
Power Source
This replica operates on green gas. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs and not reuse them, as it may cause damage to the replica.
