Brief History
The MP5 Kurtz Personal Defence Weapon, or simply MP5K PDW, represents the latest version of the MP5K, a weapon designed for special forces in close-quarter combat. Due to its uncontrollable recoil, the MP5K was rethought in 1991, and by adding a solid folding stock, they managed to create a much more efficient weapon. Its compact dimensions allow for easy concealment, making it a preferred weapon for security firms worldwide.
Exterior of the Replica
Galaxy incorporates the characteristics of the real weapon into the airsoft replica quite well. It is primarily made of ABS plastic, giving it an enviable weight of only 2 kg. However, the ABS is sufficiently durable to provide the airsoft replica with the necessary resilience on the playing field. The stock of the airsoft replica is made from solid plastic and can be easily folded to the right side. The stock attachment system is made of metal.
Interior of the Replica
Inside the airsoft replica, there is a version 3 metal gearbox, equipped with steel bushings and a polycarbonate piston, thus its durability is very good even with stronger springs (110-120m/s). The V3 gearbox is used to take advantage of the space above it for battery storage during operation. The airsoft replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up, achieving a fairly large range despite its small size.
The speed of the airsoft replica is approximately 90-95m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. It is recommended to use 0.25g BBs for optimal performance.
Power Supply
The airsoft replica comes with an 8.4V 1200mAh stick-type battery that is installed in the upper part of the airsoft replica by removing the rear cover. It is recommended to use an 8.4V 1600mAh mini stick battery. 9.6V batteries do not physically fit in the compartment, and a voltage higher than 9.6V can damage the airsoft replica.
