Product Description
Brief History
FN P90 is a personal defense weapon designed by the Belgian company FN Herstal in 1986 to meet NATO's demand for a replacement for platforms intended for 9x19mm Parabellum. The design of the weapon aims to provide armored crews with a compact weapon that still offers good performance. The P90 uses FN 5.7x28mm ammunition. Production began in 1990, hence the name P90. The revolutionary bullpup design allows for a longer barrel length, thus better accuracy. The controls are fully ambidextrous, making it suitable for both right and left-handed users.
Exterior of the Replica
CYMA delights us once again with the launch of this platform. It closely replicates the original P90 platform, using ABS plastic for the lower part and metal for the upper part. Like the real weapon, the controls are ambidextrous, and the trigger allows for 2 stages. Even if the replica's selector is set to Auto, a half pull of the trigger enables the Semi function. The magazine is mounted and dismounted similarly to the real weapon from the top by simultaneously pressing the two buttons located on the sides. Thanks to the bullpup system, the replica is very well balanced while allowing for a respectable length of the inner barrel.
Interior of the Replica
The gearbox is a standard version 6, allowing for possible upgrades intended for this platform. However, pay close attention to compatibility, as there are exceptions. The hop-up chamber is made of polycarbonate, and the inner barrel is made of brass. The inner barrel has a diameter of 6.08mm and an impressive length of 260 mm, which is about 30 mm longer than MP5 platforms, but with a total length of the replica of 550 mm. The replica's velocity, as we have learned from CYMA, is quite high, measuring 120-125 m/s with 0.20g BBs. To adjust the hop-up adjustment, you need to open the hatch at the back of the grip. The battery compartment is inside the stock. To access it, the butt plate must be removed downward. The connector is a Tamiya mini, and the compartment can accommodate batteries with a maximum of 9.6V NiMH.
Power Supply
The replica operates with 9.6V NiMH and a maximum of 7.4V LiPo batteries. Any voltage higher than 9.6V can damage the toy. We recommend using high-quality BBs weighing 0.25g for optimal performance. It is not recommended to use low-quality BBs or to reuse BBs as it may damage the replica.
