Overview
APS Limited, or more broadly Accuracy Pneumatics Shooting, was established in 2001 and initially focused on the development and manufacturing of training equipment such as Markers and special ammunition for these Markers. Over time, APS has also developed its Airsoft branch, producing airsoft replicas and accessories.
The presented replica represents the ASR 102 model. This model is part of the entry-level class and is designed to provide airsoft players with a platform that offers a good price-to-quality ratio.
Exterior of the Replica
The ASR 101 airsoft replica is primarily made from metal alloys, contributing to a lightweight design that enhances maneuverability. The flash hider can be removed, allowing for the attachment of a suppressor or other devices. The front rail system allows for the mounting of a wide range of tactical accessories. On the upper part of the replica's body, beneath the detachable handle, there is a standard rail that allows for the mounting of almost any type of advanced sighting device; red-dot, scopes, and more. The plastic components of this toy are the motor grip and the stock. The stock of the airsoft replica is adjustable.
Interior of the Replica
The action is powered by an APS version 2 gearbox. At first glance, it appears to be a standard V2 gearbox, as the gears, piston, spring, and other small components are indeed standard; however, the shell is slightly modified to allow for the installation of a blowback system. The replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up system, allowing for a commendable effective range. This replica features an active bolt catch. Once the charging lever is activated, the protective cover of the ejection port will remain open until the bolt catch is engaged, greatly facilitating hop-up adjustment. The airsoft replica has a velocity of approximately 115-120 m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. For optimal performance, we recommend using 0.25g BBs.
Power Supply
The package includes the replica and a hi-cap magazine. A battery and a battery charger must be purchased separately. We recommend purchasing a 9.6V NiMH or 7.4V LiPo battery. It is advisable to use only high-quality BBs for optimal performance and not to reuse BBs or use low-quality BBs, as this may damage the replica.
