Brief History
The SPR concept was designed to provide American military forces with a weapon capable of engaging targets at greater distances than the M4, while not being as long as the M16. The design of the SPR was first conceived by Mark Westrom, the current president of "ArmaLite". The weapon has been favored by both ground forces and special operations forces. This weapon entered service in 2002 and has undergone certain design and functionality changes since then. The latest version is Mod.1. In the following, we will present a version that closely resembles the originals, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful.
Exterior of the Replica
The airsoft replica manufactured by A&K manages to replicate a large part of the details of the real weapon. The cylindrical front part is made of aluminum and allows the attachment of special rails over almost its entire surface. The flash hider is typical of the SPR. On the upper part of the metal body, there is a slightly elevated rail that allows the mounting of almost any type of optical device. The integrated sighting system is foldable, making it easier to mount additional sighting devices. The stock and grip of the airsoft replica are made of durable ABS plastic. The stock provides a generous space for battery installation. The package includes a vertical grip that, once mounted, will improve maneuverability.
Interior of the Replica
Inside, we find a durable version 2 metal gearbox capable of reaching speeds of approximately 125 meters per second with 0.20g BBs. This feature, combined with the adjustable metal hop-up chamber and the 455mm inner barrel, will allow the airsoft replica considerable engagement distances. The hop-up chamber adjustment is located in the ejector port of the airsoft replica. To open the ejector port flap, simply pull the charging handle.
Power Supply
The airsoft replica package includes a 9.6V 1200mAh mini battery, which is recommended to be replaced with a more powerful battery. Batteries up to 9.6V can be used, as any higher voltage may damage the toy. 7.4V Lipo batteries up to 2800mAh can also be used. It is recommended to use high-quality 0.25g BBs for optimal performance.
