Ares is a relatively young company in the airsoft field, yet it offers high-quality products and services at an advantageous price. The platforms manufactured by ARES successfully replicate a wide range of real firearms. The most coveted platform of our century remains the M4. This platform has been thought, rethought, twisted, and turned by all airsoft replica manufacturers in an attempt to achieve maximum performance from its design. Amoeba is a branch of the ARES manufacturer that successfully implements today's digital technology in the operation of airsoft replicas.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica is model 014 and, like other Amoeba models, is made from plastic material. This is not a bad thing, as it significantly lightens the overall weight of the replica. The front rail system is made of aluminum, and the rail sections can be rearranged as desired using hex screws. At the front, there is a metal muzzle brake that gives the replica a nice appearance and slightly improves sound suppression. The retractable stock rails are made of metal, while the rear part is made of plastic. Behind the receiver, forming the stock support, is the battery storage space. The replica is equipped with a classic flip-up sighting system. Note that it is not adjustable in any way. The magazine release button is enlarged for easy access. The fire selector is located on the left side.
Interior of the Replica
The gearbox of the replica resembles version 2, but the resemblance stops there. The entire gearbox is managed by an electronic unit. This electronic unit ensures the proper functioning of the replica. It is equipped with Mosfet, Active breaking, Soft start and, most importantly, can be set to operate in one of the semi, burst, or auto modes at the fire selector positions. This modification can only be performed with a special device that is not included in the package. The gears are made of steel, and the piston is reinforced. The main mechanical components are standard, allowing for upgrades. Ares has equipped this toy with the ability to quickly replace the spring without removing the gearbox, just the stock tube. The replica's motor is a high torque type, capable of compressing fairly strong springs. Thanks to the electronic control system, the trigger response is very good.
Power Supply
The package does not include a battery and battery charger. Upon purchasing the replica, we recommend that you look for a suitable battery and charger. The replica can operate with 8.4-9.6V NiMh or 7.4-11.1V LiPo. Crane type is recommended for NiMh batteries and compact stick for LiPo ones. It is advised to use 0.25g weight BBs for optimal performance and do not reuse BBs.
