Short History

The Accuracy International Arctic Warfare rifle, or briefly L96, was designed and manufactured by the English company Accuracy International starting in the 1980s with the purpose of replacing the Lee-Enfield rifle, which had become too old compared to existing technology. The weapon itself is designed to operate in extreme cold temperatures. The original model, named L96A1, underwent improvements over time and was later renamed AW or Arctic Warfare. This rifle easily impressed users and was quickly appreciated by law enforcement forces for its precision and reliability.

Presentation

This airsoft replica is based on a sniper rifle with a scope, combining elements from various existing platforms. The receiver is similar to hunting rifles, the barrel like military ones, while the body features a modern and innovative design. Its design aims to provide good maneuverability and stability during use. The firing system and the barrel itself tend to mimic series based on the famous L96 or Arctic Warfare, but the resemblance stops there. Let's get into detail.

Exterior of the replica

This replica has a body made of quality ABS plastic, secured with screws both between panels and in the receiver. The outer barrel, flash hider, and receiver or cylinder support are made of metal. The replica has a balanced weight due to the well-balanced stock. The body shape is extremely comfortable in most shooting positions. There is a rail on the top of the body for mounting the scope, and a bipod attached to the front lower part for ideal stability.

Interior of the replica

To operate, the replica does not need gas, CO2, electricity, heat, or other external power sources. Cocking is done manually, feeding the BB and tensioning the internal spring that generates the necessary air flow to expel the BB. The simple system allows the replica to be used in almost any weather conditions. Extreme temperatures, humidity, and so on. The mechanism or trigger box of the replica is made of ABS plastic and successfully withstands the included spring. The sear which holds the piston is made of metal. The cylinder is made of aluminum and the piston set, and guide are made of ABS plastic. The velocity of the replica is around 170 m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. Considering the velocity, it is recommended to use heavier BBs for optimal performance. This platform is not 100% compatible with upgrade components designed for official platforms like Tokyo Marui or Maruzen.

Power supply

The replica is delivered disassembled, and all tools needed for assembly are included. It is important not to rush the assembly process as it may damage the threads. Avoid excessive disassembly and assembly of the replica as this process can compromise the integrity of the threads. The package includes the replica, cleaning rod, BB loader, and a magazine with a capacity of 25 6mm BBs. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs for optimal performance.

Do not reuse BBs and do not use low-quality BBs as it may cause damage to the replica.

The package does not include a scope and bipod.
