Brief History

The Smith & Wesson M&P represents the combination and evolution of the Sigma and SW99 models. It has been in production since 2005 and was designed from the outset to offer the user an ergonomic design, which can be modified at will. The pistol is produced in several caliber variants and is appreciated for its reliability.

Exterior of the Replica

This replica is marketed by WE and closely mimics the real firearm. The operating principle is similar to that of the real gun; the gas expelled from the magazine operates the slide, creating recoil which in turn cocks the internal mechanism and feeds a BB for the next shot. The upper part, or slide, is made of metal while the lower part, or grip, is made of ABS plastic. The slide catch of the replica is ambidextrous, while the mag catch and disassembly button are located on the left side. At the front, there is a standard rail for mounting tactical accessories. The rear of the grip allows for the replacement of the backstrap with one of the 5 included in the package, to optimize the grip size according to preferences.

Interior of the Replica

The internal mechanisms are made of metal and are protected by a metal cage to enhance reliability. The use of an internal hammer keeps the mechanisms somewhat cleaner than in exposed hammer pistols. The hop-up chamber allows for adjustment of the hop-up adjustment, providing a commendable effective range. The trigger is equipped with a pressure safety and that’s about it. Under optimal conditions, the replica is capable of firing BBs at a speed of 90-95 m/s using 0.20g BBs.

Power Source

The replica is delivered with a 21-round magazine. The M&P 9 operates on green gas. We recommend using green gas and high-quality BBs for optimal performance and proper functioning of the replica. Using low-quality BBs, reusing BBs, and using low-quality gas can affect the integrity of the replica.
