The Walther P99 DAO offered by Umarex is one of the most powerful airsoft pistols. It is constructed similarly to the real firearm, using metal and plastic, and its weight is not to be overlooked. It operates with 12-gram CO2 capsules and has low consumption. With a single capsule, it can fire up to 100 shots. The internal mechanism is simply designed, thus reducing the risk of mechanical failure. Due to its high shooting power, we do not recommend it for airsoft games, but it can be successfully used for sport shooting.

Brief History
The project for the P99 pistol began in 1994, and its first presentation took place in 1997, the year in which mass production also started. This model represented a significant leap for the Walther company, resulting from a management change. The new model was initially used by the German police in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. From there, the pistol was ordered by many other law enforcement agencies worldwide due to its revolutionary design, extreme maneuverability, and good reliability.
Exterior of the Replica
Like the real firearm, the P99 DAO offered by Umarex is made of both metal for the slide and ABS plastic for the lower part. The overall construction of the P99 is robust, successfully resisting shocks and weather over time. The weight of the pistol is 600 grams, making it a heavy pistol. The grip design is carefully crafted to provide improved comfort to the user, even when used for extended periods. The grip is covered with a textured surface that contributes to a firm hold, reducing the risk of slipping.
At the front of the pistol, there is a standard rail of 20-22mm, on which accessories such as tactical flashlights, lasers, or other devices can be mounted.
Regarding its operation, on the right side, there is the safety button, at the bottom of the trigger is the magazine release button, and at the back of the grip, there is the access door for the CO2 capsule.
Interior of the Replica
The internal mechanism of the replica is made entirely of metal and is simply designed, thus the reliability of the pistol over time is remarkable. The recoil is strong, simulating the recoil of a real pistol. To shoot, manual cocking of the pistol is not required. Once the magazine is inserted and the CO2 capsule is mounted, the pistol will fire with a simple pull of the trigger. Users appreciate this model because maintenance costs are extremely low. The simplistic mechanism requires minimal maintenance to function thousands of BBs. The replica is not equipped with a hop-up system, but the steel inner barrel is capable of providing very good accuracy and durability over time against wear.
The power of the pistol is 2 Joules using 0.20g BBs. However, using heavier BBs such as 0.43g can achieve power exceeding 4 Joules.
Power Supply
The replica operates with a single-use 12g CO2 capsule, not included in the package. The autonomy of the replica is high compared to other pistols. With a single capsule, it can fire up to 100 shots, making it a very economical pistol. We recommend using quality consumables to achieve optimal performance. BBs weighing between 0.20g and 0.48g can be used without any issues. We do not recommend using glass or steel BBs.
