Product Description
Brief History
In 1990, certain firearm manufacturing companies in Germany, under the strict supervision of Heckler & Koch, developed a project for an assault rifle intended to replace the G3 model, which had been in use since 1970 and could no longer meet current demands. The initial projects were G11 and G41, which were to use a different caliber than the standard 5.56x40mm NATO, but unfortunately, they were abandoned due to the cancellation of the order from the Bundeswehr troops. To not abandon the idea of a weapon worthy of modern times, Heckler and Koch reverted to the standard caliber 5.56x40mm NATO. Thus, the G36 platform was born. This assault rifle was designed from scratch. The entire operating system is designed to provide good reliability during operation, low acquisition, and maintenance costs. The G36 was first adopted by the Bundeswehr troops in 1996 and over time has become standard issue in several countries. There are multiple versions of this weapon, each model serving a specific purpose.
Exterior of the Replica
This airsoft replica manufactured by Umarex copies the model G36C, with the C standing for "Compact". Similar to the real weapon, the presented airsoft replica is primarily made of plastic material. The airsoft replica weighs approximately 1.4 Kg. The weapon's length is short, making the airsoft replica perform well in confined spaces where excellent control of the airsoft replica is necessary.
The airsoft replica is equipped with an adjustable integrated sight system, which can be removed if necessary, allowing full use of the top rail for mounting a sighting device like the one included in the package. At the front, there is a standard rail that allows the airsoft replica to be accessorized with a grip, flashlight, or possibly a tactical laser. The mag catch is located in the center of the replica under the trigger guard. The stock of the airsoft replica folds to the right and locks securely in position. On the right side of the body, there is a lever for adjusting the hop-up adjustment.
Interior of the Replica
The internal mechanism of the replica is made of plastic and metal and operates with manual action. Cocking the hammer and feeding the BBs is done strictly by pulling the cocking lever. The replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up.
