Product Description
Brief History
Beretta PX4 Storm was introduced in 2004 as a response to the need to modernize existing platforms using the most advanced materials available at that time. The PX4 finds its origins in a well-known model, the Beretta 8000 Cougar. Elements such as the rotating barrel with a locking pin can be observed. The manufacturers aimed to provide users with a platform that is very easy to operate and maintain while also improving long-term reliability. Due to the plastic materials used for the external components, the weight of the PX4 is quite low. This pistol was designed considering the most common calibers of that time; 9x19mm Parabellum, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP, and there are 4 distinct models regarding functionality.
Exterior of the Replica
The presented airsoft replica is manufactured by one of the most renowned airsoft replica producers, Tokyo Marui. What does this mean? The quality of materials, finish, performance, and reliability are exceptional. The manufacturer has carefully replicated the model Beretta PX4 Storm type F. The exterior of the airsoft replica is predominantly made of ABS plastic, which is not a bad thing considering that the real firearm is also made from plastic materials. At the front, there is a standard rail that allows the attachment of devices such as lasers, flashlights, or others. A bit further back, there is the slide removal system (the slide), with the slide catch and mag catch located on the left side of the airsoft replica.
The safety of the airsoft replica is ambidextrous and features a disarm function when operated. The back of the grip can be replaced with one of the 3 different-sized pieces included in the package to provide the user with an optimal grip.
Interior of the Replica
The internals of the airsoft replica are made from quality metal and provide good operational autonomy. The airsoft replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up system accessible without disassembling the replica. The adjustment is located inside the ejection port and can be accessed by cocking and locking the slide in the rear position. To remove the slide, it is necessary to remove the magazine and press down both disassembly levers located above the trigger.
Power Supply
The airsoft replica operates with Green Gas. Any stronger gas can seriously damage the internal components of the pistol. Under optimal temperature and operating conditions, the airsoft replica is capable of cycling the entire magazine with one gas charge and locking the slide in the position indicating the end of the BBs. To keep the magazine in good operating condition, it is recommended to apply a very small amount of gas during periods of non-use to maintain the seals in optimal shape.
Maximum performance is achieved at ambient temperatures above 15°C. Periodically, the airsoft replica should be cleaned and lubricated according to the recommendations in the Service and Care section.
