Frequently Asked Questions
Airsoft pistol operating on CO2, model Taurus 24/7. This pistol features no recoil, NBB, and is recommended for airsoft play during winter due to its operating principle and simple internal mechanism. The efficiency of CO2 is very good. Product Description
Brief History
Taurus PT 24/7 was introduced to the market in 2004, manufactured by Forjas Taurus S/A Brazil and distributed in America by the Taurus USA franchise. This model was designed as a compact pistol for civilians. It has also been used by law enforcement as a backup weapon.
Description
The presented airsoft replica closely resembles the original pistol in external appearance. The major difference is the recoil-less operation mode NBB (Non Blow Back). This principle is straightforward. Upon pulling the trigger, a BB from the magazine is fed into the barrel while the striker is cocked and released. Thus, the trigger pull is slightly longer than that of recoil-operated pistols, and the pressure required to pull it is greater.
Exterior of the Replica
The upper part of the replica (the slide) is made of metal, while the lower part is made of quality ABS plastic. Its relatively low weight and well-distributed balance contribute to maneuverability. The operational buttons such as the mag catch and safety are positioned according to the real pistol. The other buttons, however, are purely decorative. At the front, there is a standard 22mm rail for mounting various accessories such as lasers, flashlights, or other devices with standard rail attachments.
The grip is covered with a rubberized layer featuring grooves for superior traction. The sights of the airsoft replica are fixed but aligned straight, allowing for aiming.
Interior of the Replica
The firing mechanism is extremely simple and practical, ensuring high reliability. Quality metal components are used, making it resistant to wear. The airsoft replica does not feature a BB lift system, HopUp, but due to the relatively high speed of 120-125 m/s with 0.20g BBs, the BB has a straight trajectory over a sufficiently long distance.
Power Supply
The airsoft replica operates on CO2. The magazine holds a 12g CO2 cartridge. At the bottom of the magazine, there is a cap with an Allen screw. Using the Allen key included in the package, this cap can be unscrewed, and the CO2 cartridge is inserted with the thin end inside, after which the cap is securely screwed back on. It is loaded with 6mm airsoft BBs from the top, the magazine is inserted into the replica, and it is ready to fire.
Warning: It is recommended to spray a small amount of silicone oil on the contact seal surface before installing a new CO2 cartridge. It is not advisable to store the CO2 cartridge in the airsoft replica; after each use, even if the cartridge is not empty, it should be removed to protect the seals.
