Springfield Armory XDM Dual Tone

Presentation

XDM or X-Treme Duty Match grade is a pistol manufactured in Croatia starting in 2006 by "HS Produkt." In America, it is known as the Springfield Armory XD. It is designed to offer championship-level shooting performance at relatively low costs. Shortly after entering the market, it was adopted by law enforcement forces worldwide. In 2009, it won the title of pistol of the year due to its remarkable performance.

Replica Exterior

The design, details, and functionality of the airsoft replica are very similar to the real weapon. The lower part of the replica is made of ABS plastic, while the slide and outer barrel are made of solid aluminum. There are multiple safety systems. Behind the grip, there is a safety similar to the 1911 platforms. There is a trigger safety and an additional safety at the front for storage purposes. The slide stop release button and disassembly button are located on the left side, while the magazine release button is ambidextrous. An interesting feature is the internal mechanism cocking indicator located behind the slide. The magazine is made of chromed metal.

The length of the pistol is 190mm. To allow better handling, the package includes 3 backstraps with different sizes for a better grip.

Interior of the Replica

The internal components of the airsoft replica are made of well-finished quality metals. The hop-up chamber allows adjusting the hop level, greatly improving the range of the replica. To adjust the hop-up, the slide must be removed. It should be noted that the airsoft replica has very good accuracy. The velocity is around 80-85 meters per second measured with 0.20g BBs. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance.

Power Source

The airsoft replica operates on green gas stored inside the magazine. It is not recommended to use a weaker gas as the replica's performance may be affected. In normal atmospheric conditions at temperatures above 15°C, one gas charge is capable of firing all 265 BBs in the magazine and then locking the slide in the "empty magazine" position. It is recommended to use quality BBs to avoid mechanical issues.
