This headset consists of a headset and a laryngophone. The laryngophone is essentially a microphone; unlike traditional microphones that capture sound through the air, the laryngophone captures sound vibrations through direct contact with the throat in the laryngeal area. This method is superior in terms of sound intensity but inferior in sound quality. Being in direct contact with the throat, the necessary sound intensity is much lower, even whispering is perceived and transmitted. However, the sound quality may seem slightly poorer than that of a traditional microphone, with a metallic and muffled tone.
