Product Description
This jacket represents the upper part of the ACU or broadly Army Combat Uniform. This uniform model was introduced in 2004 with the intention of replacing the BDU or Battle Dress Uniform. Its construction and design comply with U.S. military regulations. The placement and size of the pockets, as well as the cut of the jacket and the adjustment elements, make this garment easy to wear and utilize. The material is composed equally of cotton and nylon, featuring a ripstop design. Ripstop is a special material designed to prevent the spread of potential tears.
Functionality
The existing pockets are: 2 Velcro pockets on the chest area, secured with Velcro, angled for easier access, and two Velcro pockets on the upper part of the sleeves.
There are reinforcements at the elbows where additional protection can be mounted. On the chest and shoulders, there are sections equipped with Velcro to attach a badge, identification, or preferred patch.
The sleeves and collar of the jacket can be adjusted to enhance the user's maneuverability as well as improve thermal comfort.
The main fastening system consists of a double zipper and a section of material that covers the zipper, which in turn is secured with Velcro.
