Brief History

Walther PP represented the most significant pistol platform of the interwar period. It was designed and manufactured by the German company Walther and began its "service" in 1929 within law enforcement. As suggested by its title "Polizei Pistole," it translates to Police Pistol. This pistol was highly regarded among law enforcement and civilians alike due to its reliability and compact size. In 1931, the PPK model, "Polizei Pistole Kriminalmodell" or Detective Police Pistol, was launched. This model is smaller than the classic PP, making it even easier to carry and operate. Combining the PP model with the PPK resulted in the PPK/S platform in 1968, as a constraint from the GCA68 (Gun Control Act of 1968) in the United States. This pistol combines the capacity of the PP with the reduced size of the PPK's frame. Regardless of the model, the PP/PPK remains one of the most beloved pistols among secret law enforcement, spies, and others. Notably, we can mention the James Bond series, where the PPK is often the signature of the secret agent 007.

Exterior of the Replica

This model successfully replicates the PPK/S pistol. The operation of the pistol closely imitates the principle of the real firearm. With each shot, the slide is ejected back to re-cock the hammer and chamber the next BB. It is made from high-quality ABS plastic. Its weight is lighter than that of the real firearm, but due to the high level of finish and quality of materials, we will love this wonderful airsoft toy from the very first use.

This airsoft replica, like the real firearm, does not feature an external slide catch. When the BBs are depleted, the slide will lock back as a warning, and to release it, the magazine must be removed or a full magazine inserted, after which the slide can be re-cocked. On the left side, there is the mag catch, and also on the left side is the safety, which also serves as a decocker.

Interior of the Replica

The internal mechanism of the airsoft replica is made from high-quality metal, resistant to wear. The principle of operation of this airsoft toy is gas-powered. The space for gas storage for operation is in the pistol's magazine. The replica is equipped with a hop-up system, but it is fixed, and it is recommended to use BBs weighing 0.20g. The pistol can fire BBs at speeds of up to 70 m/s. The trigger guard can be flipped down, which is necessary for disassembling the pistol. Disassembly of the pistol is not recommended unless absolutely necessary.

Power Supply

The presented airsoft replica operates with low gas, 134-144a. Using any stronger gas may damage the toy and void the warranty. The space for gas storage is in the pistol's magazine. Due to the lightweight slide, the amount of gas needed to operate the slide is reduced, thus the gas consumption is very low. Under normal atmospheric conditions at temperatures above 15'C, the airsoft replica can operate approximately 2 loads of BBs with a single gas charge. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs. Reusing BBs or using low-quality BBs is not recommended as it may damage the toy.
