Product Description
Brief History
The Desert Eagle pistol was designed in 1979 with the idea of creating a platform capable of operating on gas recovery. A new concept compared to the classic recoil-operated system adopted by most existing pistols. Development took place at Magnum Research Inc, located in America. The first functional model was ready in 198, but development did not stop there as urgent optimizations were needed. These optimizations were completed by Israel Military Industries, or IMI for short, under contract with Magnum Research Inc. Thus, in 1982, the first models were to enter the market under the name Eagle .357, obviously due to the .357 Magnum caliber. In the following years, there were modifications and improvements to this pistol, and a new .44 Magnum caliber was introduced to the market. In 1996, Magnum Research Inc introduced the first Desert Eagle platforms operating with the .50 Action Express caliber, and the last accepted and manufactured variant with this caliber is the Mark XIX model. This model is equipped with a superior rail for mounting optical devices as well as many other improvements to the platform. This pistol has proven to be very impractical among military forces due to its heavy weight, bulky dimensions, and significant recoil. In any case, this pistol will always be appreciated for its design and destructive performance. Let's be honest, it is a portable cannon.
Exterior of the Replica
The presented airsoft replica is manufactured by KWC. The model closely mimics the Desert Eagle Mark XIX 50 A.E. The upper parts and rails are made from durable metal, while the grip and lower receiver are made from ABS plastic. The weight of the airsoft replica is not to be overlooked, approximately 1.1 Kg. Like the real pistol, this airsoft replica is equipped with recoil. Its dimensions are impressive, its character imposing, and the recoil is commensurate.
Interior of the Replica
The internal mechanism of the DE.50 replica offered by KWC is made of metal, providing durability and long-lasting resistance. The operation of this airsoft replica closely mimics the real weapon. With each shot, the recoil cocks the hammer and feeds the next BB. The magazine of the airsoft replica is quite spacious, holding approximately 22 BBs, and at the back of the magazine is the CO2 cartridge intended for operation. Despite its size and recoil, using 0.20g BBs, the resulting speed is 120-125 m/s.
Power Supply
This airsoft replica operates on CO2. The replica can thus be used when the ambient temperature is low. The CO2 consumption is quite high.
Attention: It is recommended to spray a small amount of silicone oil on the contact seal surface before installing a new CO2 cartridge. It is not recommended to store the CO2 cartridge in the airsoft replica; after each use, even if the cartridge is not empty, it should be removed to protect the seals.
