Klarus is based in Shenzhen, China, and was founded in 2011. It has quickly gained global recognition for the high quality of the professional lighting systems it manufactures for all fields of activity.

Description

The XT12GT flashlight offered by Klarus is part of the XT series of flashlights. This series is aimed at tactical users who need firm and diversified control over the functions provided. The internal circuit of the flashlight is specially designed to manage the battery voltage and the light output accurately.

Functions and Modes

There are 6 lighting functions: Turbo-1600 lm, High-400 lm, Medium-100 lm, Low-10 lm, Strobe-2000 lm, and SOS-100 lm.

Using a 18650 3600mAh battery, the flashlight is capable of providing a runtime of; 1.2h on turbo, 4h on high, 14h on medium, 200 hours on low, 2.4h on strobe, and 42h on SOS.

To facilitate easier operation of the flashlight, the manufacturer has provided control with 2 programmable buttons. The buttons are located on the back of the flashlight for tactical operation.

We can always know the battery voltage level with the LED located on the side charging port that indicates the battery status based on the displayed color; green-over 70%/orange-between 30 and 70%/red-less than 30%/flashing red-less than 10%

The flashlight is equipped with a charging circuit for the internal battery. The connection port is on the side and is of the magnetic, circular type. It is important that the power source is 5V DC between 0.5 and 1A.

Construction

The body of the flashlight is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and is coated with a textured grip for a firmer hold. The manufacturer guarantees protection against moisture according to the IPX8 standard.

Package

The flashlight is delivered with a USB/micro-USB charging cable, a magnetic charging adapter, a lanyard for support, a rechargeable Li-ion 3.7V 3600mAh battery, and a Cordura transport pouch. The flashlight can operate with standard 18650 batteries as well as with 2 CR123A batteries.
