Overview

Klarus is based in Shenzhen, China, and was founded in 2011. It has quickly become globally recognized for the high quality of the professional lighting systems it manufactures for all fields of activity.

Description

The E3 flashlight offered by Klarus is part of the compact professional flashlight series. This series is aimed at tactical users who need firm and diverse control over the functions provided. The internal circuit of the flashlight is specially designed to manage the battery voltage and the light output accurately.

Functions and Modes

There are 6 lighting functions: High-2200 lm, Medium-400 lm, Low-100 lm, Moonlight-5 lm, Strobe-2200 lm, and SOS-100 lm.

Using a 21GT-E50 5000mAh battery, the flashlight is capable of providing a runtime of; 3.5h on high, 7h on medium, 19 hours on low, 240h on moonlight, 7h on strobe, and 57h on SOS.

To facilitate easier operation, the manufacturer has provided control with 2 programmable buttons. The buttons are located on the back of the flashlight, easily accessible with the thumb in a tactical position.

We can always know the battery voltage level with the LED located on the side button that indicates the battery status based on the displayed color; green-over 70%/orange-between 30 and 70%/red-less than 30%/flashing red-less than 10%

The flashlight is equipped with a charging circuit for the internal battery. The connection port is located at the front and is of the USB-C type. It is important that the power source is 5V DC between 0.5 and 2A.

Construction

The body of the flashlight is made from 6061-T6 aluminum and is covered with a textured grip for a firmer hold. The manufacturer guarantees moisture protection according to the IPX8 standard.

Package

The flashlight is delivered with a USB/micro-USB charging cable, a lanyard for support, a rechargeable Li-ion 3.6V 5000mAh battery, and a transport pouch made of Cordura. The flashlight WILL NOT work with standard 21700 batteries.
