Product Description
Brief History:
First presented to the public in 1991 and a few years later entered into production. Its manufacturing takes place in America, combining German parts with American-made components, which is why the new form of the P228 was considered primarily for the American audience. The SIG P229 was set to dethrone the well-known P228, which could no longer handle larger calibers due to the pressed steel slide. The secret of the P229 is the slide machined from a single piece of aluminum, which provides much greater resistance to the pistol. However, a disadvantage is its weight, as the aluminum slide is somewhat heavier than the steel version.
Exterior of the Replica:
The airsoft replica is constructed entirely from quality metal. The functionality of the replica is identical to that of the real weapon. The sound produced by the replica when cocking successfully mimics the sound made by a real firearm.
The weight of the airsoft replica is not to be overlooked. At nearly 900g, it is just a few grams lighter than the real gun. This weight is achieved from the entire construction assembly and not from weights placed inside the body of the pistol.
Similar to the real weapon, the left side of the airsoft replica is equipped with a decocking button, meaning that if the replica is cocked but you no longer wish to fire, you can use your thumb to operate the decocking button, bringing the airsoft replica into a safe state.
Interior of the Replica:
This airsoft replica features an adjustable HopUp. To access the adjustment, the slide must be removed, with the adjustment located beneath the HopUp chamber. The HopUp is of high quality, providing the BB with a straight and long trajectory. The firing mechanisms of the pistol are standard T.M., thus the potential for upgrades is significant. The magazine can hold 20 BBs. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance.
Power Supply:
The airsoft replica operates on Green Gas; any weaker or stronger gas may damage the internal mechanisms. For optimal performance, the airsoft replica should be used in normal atmospheric conditions at temperatures above 15°C. With a gas fill, the replica operates the entire magazine and at the end, locks the slide in the warning position indicating the end of BBs.
Periodically, the airsoft replica should be cleaned and lubricated according to the recommendations in the Service and Care section. This way, the airsoft replica can function correctly for a long time.
