Product Description
Brief History
SIG Sauer P226 E2 was launched in 2010 at the SHOT Show event. E2 stands for Enhanced Ergonomics, or in Romanian, ergonomie îmbunătățită. And it is. The E2 model was designed to provide a better grip even for individuals with smaller hands and to improve minor operational aspects. This model was not produced in very large numbers, and by the end of the same year, production ceased. However, the grip model for ergonomics was retained.
Exterior of the Replica
Manufactured by KJW, SIG P226 E2 accurately replicates the real pistol. It is made mostly of quality metal, respecting the functions of the real weapon. One example is the decocking function. If the airsoft replica is cocked but you no longer wish to shoot, the decocking button can be activated with your thumb, bringing the airsoft replica to a safe state. The pistol is of the Double Action type, meaning that when the trigger is pulled, the hammer of the replica is cocked and then released, triggering the firing mechanism.
Internals of the Replica
The airsoft replica features a HopUp system that is adjustable; to access the adjustment, the slide must be removed, with the adjustment located under the HopUp chamber. The HopUp is of high quality, providing the BB with a straight trajectory. The magazine can hold 26 BBs. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance. The airsoft replica has a speed of 80-85 meters per second measured with 0.20g BBs. Notably, this pistol can also operate with CO2, an important feature for those cold winter days.
Power Source
The airsoft replica operates on both Green Gas and CO2. Given its operation on CO2, the airsoft replica can also be utilized in cooler weather. With a CO2 cartridge, up to 2 reloads can be performed, and at the end, it locks the valve in a warning position for an empty magazine.
Warning: It is recommended to spray a small amount of silicone oil on the contact seal surface before installing a new CO2 cartridge. It is not recommended to store the CO2 cartridge in the airsoft replica; after each use, even if the cartridge is not empty, it should be removed to protect the seals.
