Product Description
Presentation
The 1911 MEU SOC represents the modernized version of the famous 1911 designed by John Browning. The 1911 MEU was designed in 1986 to meet the demands of that time from active American military personnel, especially the United States Marine Corps' Marine Expeditionary Units. The modifications are both mechanical and aesthetic in nature. The design of the controls has been improved, and the internal mechanisms allow for better reliability over time. This time, the 1911 can also be manufactured with a front rail to mount tactical accessories, and the ambidextrous safety allows for better usability among left-handed users.
The exterior of the replica
This replica sold by KJW is made almost entirely of metal. The only ABS plastic elements are the grip panels. The sights of the replica are fixed but well-oriented. At the front of the replica, there is a standard rail that allows the mounting of devices such as lasers or flashlights. Unlike the standard model, the TBD model is equipped with an outer barrel with threads for a suppressor. The thread is protected with a cap.
The safeties of the replica are as follows: A trigger safety located at the back of the grip. Thus, without a firm grip in hand, the trigger cannot be activated. There is also a safety for the hammer. This safety is ambidextrous and can only be used when the hammer is cocked. The operation of the replica is similar to that of the real weapon. To cock it, the slide must be pulled back. At this moment, the internal mechanism is cocked, and a BB is fed into the barrel. The pistol features recoil, similar to the real weapon, this movement serving to feed the next BB and re-cock the mechanism.
The interior of the replica
The internals of the replica are of high quality; if used under proper conditions and maintained accordingly, it is a durable replica with low chances of malfunction. The firing mechanisms of the pistol are standard, so if an internal component fails, it can be replaced.
To disassemble the replica, the slide catch must be removed, after which the slide is released forward. Through this operation, we can also access and adjust the Hop-Up, which is constant and precise. The accuracy of this airsoft replica is very good. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance. The speed of the replica measured with 0.20g BBs is 90-95 meters per second.
Power source
This airsoft replica operates correctly using Green Gas. In normal atmospheric conditions at temperatures above 15°C, with a gas charge, the toy can fire all the BBs from the magazine, and when they are finished, the slide is locked in the warning position indicating the end of the BBs.
A significant advantage of the replica is the ability to use standard CO2 magazines; the manufacturers KJW designed the latest versions of this replica so that it can use both a gas magazine and a CO2 magazine without putting extra pressure on the firing system. The speed will increase when using CO2, but not significantly. Just enough to be used safely on the playing field.
