Brief History

One of the models of the famous MP5 built by Heckler & Koch, the MP5-A3 is equipped with one of the latest Trigger Group models. What differentiates this trigger group from other models is its multiple firing capabilities. The classic SEF icons, meaning Safe, Semi, Auto, have all been replaced with bullet symbols for better understanding of the functions.

Exterior of the Replica

This replica manufactured by G&G is known as the TGM A3 RTS ETU and is part of the premium range of G&G replicas. The exterior of the replica is constructed similarly to the real weapon. The upper part is made of metal while the lower part or grip is made of polymer. Being part of the premium class, all important elements such as the outer barrel and other attachments are made of metal. The flash hider of the replica is quick detach and protects a 14 mm counter-clockwise thread. The charging handle is functional, and when operated, it releases the ejector port, providing access to the hop-up adjustment. The fire selector is ambidextrous offering 3 firing modes plus one optional, programmable; Safe, Semi, Burst, Auto. The package includes a mounting system for sighting devices. This system is mounted on the top of the replica in the specific slot. On the front, the polymer handguard allows for standard rails to be attached for tactical devices such as grips, flashlights, lasers, or others. The stock of the replica is retractable like the navy models.

The gears, piston, spring, motor, and other internal components are standard, allowing for modifications of the replica if necessary or desired. However, we advise you to check the compatibility of parts before purchasing or installing them. The inner barrel of the replica is precision-made, providing good grouping and impressive effective range. The all-season hop-up rubber performs well, even when ambient temperatures drop below 0 degrees, maintaining a constant hop-up adjustment.

Power Supply

The package includes the replica, a hicap magazine, and the rail systems that can be attached if necessary. With the purchase of the replica, we recommend also purchasing a battery and a battery charger as they are not included in the package. The replica can operate with 8.4V or 9.6V NiMH or 7.4V, 11.1V Lipo. The connection plug is Tamiya mini, and the battery compartment is located inside the front handguard. We recommend using only high-quality BBs and not reusing BBs as these factors can lead to premature failure of the replica.
