The sector gear is the component that allows the cyclic operation of electric airsoft replicas, using the teeth that engage the piston positioned only on half of the gear's circumference. The front gear is equipped with 2 rows of teeth that engage the piston, resulting in a much higher rate of fire than a normal gear. To properly exploit this gear, advanced knowledge in the airsoft technology field is required. In short, it must be used with a metal-toothed piston and a much stronger spring to compensate for the shorter distance the piston must travel. The gear is made of steel and features 2 rows of cams for tappet plates and cut-off lever.
