ASTER is the latest control unit created by Gate for electric airsoft replicas. The model presented can be considered the smaller brother of the famous TITAN model and is delivered with the Basic firmware version, meaning that some settings and options are disabled. This unit is for V2 gearboxes.
Product Description
We are pleased to present the latest electronic control unit for electric airsoft replicas. This unit is called ASTER and is offered by GATE. We can say that this mosfet is the smaller brother of the well-known TITAN considering that it has borrowed most of its features and functions. It is designed to replace the mechanical contact of the replica, eliminating mechanical work thus greatly improving the feedback control of the replica.
If you are wondering what makes this unit called ASTER so special, we must start by saying that it is the fourth generation of mosfet. A very important feature is the protection against reverse polarity of the battery. The trigger proximity sensor can provide over 250 possible sensitivity settings, and the unit can be configured using the trigger or via GCS (GATE Control Station). Installation is relatively easier as it no longer requires modification of the gearbox casing structure, including for gearbox casings manufactured by Krytac or ICS. The optical sensor that detects the sector wheel supports various types of wheels, infinite torque, DSG, SSG, with 19 teeth or standard. Regarding the 3 optical sensors, the one for the sector wheel, the one for the trigger, and the one for the selector position, we can say that they can be easily configured through the GCS application.
Trigger sensitivity adjustment
The proximity sensor offers as many as 250 possible settings and disassembly of the toy is not necessary. The GCS application can be used to make settings according to user preferences, including activating the 2-stage trigger function to have two different sensitivities. By lightly pressing the trigger, we can have Semi or Burst, and when pressing harder, we can have Burst, Burst/Auto, or Auto. In total, we have between 160 and 250 levels, and in the first millimeter of travel, we have between 3 and 15 levels.
Programming via the trigger
This programming mode allows us to configure basic functions via the trigger and fire selector. During programming, functions are indicated by vibrations and the colors of an LED.

Rate of fire control: ASTER will allow us to control the rate of the replica. This function allows providing between 50% and 100% of the battery power to protect the replica when using overly powerful batteries.
Shot delay (Sniper delay): Similar to real weapons, ASTER will allow shot delays between 0.5S and 3S to simulate recoil or the loading of a manual rifle.
Smart trigger: This function will allow us that when we electronically reduce the rate of the replica, the first shot will still be at maximum power, thus achieving an instant trigger response.
Magazine: This function allows simulating the use of magazines with a capacity smaller than the one used, including for hi-cap magazines. Once the predetermined number of BBs are fired, we will have to wait a specified period to be able to fire again, as if simulating a magazine change. In the Advanced or Expert versions, an alarm can also be set for the magazine running out of BBs.
Battery protection: This function protects the battery from excessive discharge. Modern LiPo or LiFe batteries have considerable sensitivity regarding excessive discharge, and to prevent this problem, Gate has equipped the unit with a microprocessor that constantly monitors the battery, and when it reaches the minimum voltage, it will no longer allow firing.
This device is delivered with Basic firmware version. This means that a large part of the functions and setting possibilities are locked. To unlock them, an Advanced or Expert firmware update must be purchased separately.
WARNING:
The installation of this mosfet must be performed by qualified personnel as there is a risk of damaging it or the components of the replica. Incorrect powering of the device will result in its burning. Airsoft6 provides warranty service only for devices installed in its own service!
