Product Description
Presentation
The AK 104 was designed in 1994 by Mikhail Kalashnikov but entered service only in 2001. This version is chambered in 7.62, and unlike the 47-74 series, the materials are treated to better resist corrosion and the grips are made from polymer to lighten the overall assembly.
Exterior of the Replica
The airsoft replica manufactured by E&L is a toy worthy of admiration. The finishes are very good and the quality of the materials is commendable. Noteworthy is the manufacturing and packaging method. The airsoft replica is coated with a specific oil used in machining tools, eliminating the risk of corrosion during transport while also providing an air of authenticity. All components assemble precisely, eliminating play between parts, and the sensation during operation is that of a solid body without compromises.
The center of gravity is slightly forward due to the rail system. This system allows for extensive customization. There is a rail section just above the dust cover to mount optical devices in a more comfortable position. The body of the airsoft replica is made from thick steel sheet, riveted. The markings are stamped. The joining parts of the airsoft replica are made from quality steel, contributing to better durability. The grip of the airsoft replica is of the SAW type, providing excellent hold, and the stock is a SOPMOD type adjustable with 6 positions. At the back, there is a quick-release sling attachment system. Note that a quick-release ring is not included in the package. The magazine of the airsoft replica is made from steel sheet.
Note, to remove the dust cover, the upper rail system must be removed by unscrewing the 4 hex screws located on the side of the rail.
Interior of the Replica
Inside the airsoft replica, the heavy lifting is done by a version 3 metal gearbox. The internal components are of very good quality, providing good reliability over time. The motor of the airsoft replica is of the High Torque type, and the installed spring generates 130+m/s with 0.20g BBs. The hop-up chamber is adjustable and the inner barrel is precision-made; once the hop-up adjustment is correctly set, the range of the airsoft replica and its grouping are impressive. The adjustment of the hop-up chamber is inside the ejection port, and to access it, simply operate the false cocking lever.
Power Supply
No battery or battery charger is included in the airsoft replica package. You can use NIMH batteries of 8.4V 9.6V mini stick type or 7.4V 11.1V LiPo, but also stick type (ROUND). Do not exceed the voltage of 11.1V 20C as the toy may malfunction. Use quality BBs and do not reuse BBs; otherwise, the toy may malfunction.
