Brief History:

Initially designed for the Italian army and law enforcement to replace the M951 model. It entered production in 1976, starting its use in Italy, and gradually its use expanded worldwide. The American army adopted the Beretta M92 SB-F, later named M92F, due to excellent results in the XM9 tests aimed at choosing the most reliable pistol. Over time, the Beretta M92 has undergone several modifications to its mechanisms and shape due to requirements.

Description:

This airsoft replica manufactured by Cyma initially presents an authentic Beretta M9, but upon first contact, we realize that something is not quite as expected. This is due to the fact that it is an electric functioning pistol. Instead of internal mechanisms and gas storage compartments, there is a miniature electric gearbox capable of propelling the BBs from the replica in both semi and automatic fire.

Exterior of the Replica:

The exterior of the airsoft replica is constructed from ABS plastic and metal. The slide is made of metal. The surface has increased grip due to the matte finish. The fire selector is actually the safety lever with 2 positions, semi and auto. The slide catch is intended for securing the slide. On the right side, above the trigger, is the pistol's safety. The slide of the airsoft replica is actually a cover, and to open it, the metal button at the back of the slide must be pressed. The pistol's magazine is small and thin, totally unrealistic, but with a great advantage: it can hold 30 6mm BBs.

Interior of the Replica:

Once the slide is removed, we can observe the space designated for the battery and the mechanism for facilitating battery installation as well as the hop-up adjustment. The replica is equipped with an adjustable hop-up system, significantly increasing the effective range despite the low speed of 50-55m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. Of course, it is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance.
