Cyclone Grenade Impact

Airsoft inherently tries to imitate military actions as closely as possible. One of the controversial subjects of this sport is grenades. Over time, there have been many attempts to create a fragmentation grenade for airsoft. In other words, to throw BBs. Airsoft Innovations has been the only company to successfully provide the public with a reusable fragmentation grenade that justifies its quality and price. This grenade is called Tornado and, while not without its issues, has earned a reputation for its performance.

This year, the gentlemen at Airsoft Innovations have launched a new model of reusable fragmentation grenade called Cyclone. This model is expected to be smaller, cheaper, and more efficient than its predecessor, the Tornado.

Unlike the Tornado model, which was delivered in two detonation variants, impact and timer, the Cyclone operates strictly on a mechanical impact basis. Its construction is almost entirely made of plastic materials, with a few metal components. Its design is intended to facilitate reloading and improve its performance on the field. Being smaller, it is easier to transport, and the plastic materials drastically reduce the overall weight of the device. The reset method for the Tornado grenade often raised issues due to the multitude of internal parts that had to be assembled in a certain order. The possibility of losing any of the small internal pieces was high during resetting, at which point it became unusable. Now, the system is as simple and efficient as possible. It features a pin that is pulled up and placed eccentrically with the hole from which it is extracted. Upon impact, this pin aligns with the hole, striking an internal valve. The striking pin is secured by a plastic piece resembling a grenade "spoon" and the typical safety pin.

The reloading method for BBs is much friendlier than the previous model. It is sufficient to remove a cap and add the BBs by hand. The expulsion of the BBs occurs through a single hole, unlike the previous model which had two. But less does not necessarily mean weaker; in fact, it is even more powerful. The spin effect is greatly improved in this model, managing to cover a much larger area upon activation. Due to the design, there is a chance that BBs may remain inside after activation.

The package includes the grenade, a plastic safety for securing the striking pin, the grenade ring, and a bottle of silicone oil for maintaining the internal systems. We recommend reading the user manual very carefully as it explains all aspects of operation and maintenance.
