Product Description
Brief History
FN P90 is a personal defense weapon designed by the Belgian company FN Herstal in 1986 to meet NATO's demand for a replacement for platforms intended for 9x19mm Parabellum. The design of the weapon aims to provide armored crews with a compact weapon that still delivers good performance. The P90 uses FN 5.7x28mm ammunition. Production began in 1990, hence the name P90. The revolutionary bullpup design allows for a longer barrel length, thus providing better accuracy. The controls are fully ambidextrous, making it usable by both right-handed and left-handed shooters.
Exterior of the Replica
Classic Army successfully replicates the P90 platform. The replica is made from both plastic for the lower part and metal for the upper part. Like the real weapon, the controls are ambidextrous and the trigger allows for 2 positions. Even if the replica's selector is set to Auto, a half pull of the trigger allows for Semi function. The magazine is mounted and dismounted like the real weapon from the top by simultaneously pressing the two buttons located on the sides. Thanks to the bullpup system, the replica is very well balanced while also allowing for a respectable length of the inner barrel. The replica is equipped with an electronic optical device that will greatly enhance our aiming capabilities.
Interior of the Replica
The gearbox is a standard version 6, allowing for possible upgrades when needed. The hop-up chamber is made of polycarbonate and the inner barrel is made of brass. The inner barrel has a diameter of 6.08mm and an impressive length of 247mm, longer than the inner barrel of an MP5, but with a total length of the replica just over 500mm. The replica's speed measured with 0.20g BBs is 105-110 meters per second. To adjust the hop-up adjustment, you need to open the hatch at the back of the grip. The battery compartment is inside the stock. To access it, the butt plate must be removed downwards. The connector is a mini Tamiya, and the compartment can accommodate batteries of up to 8.4V NiMh or 7.4V compact LiPo.
Power Supply
The package does not include a battery or battery charger. The replica operates with 8.4V and 9.6V NiMH batteries and a maximum of 7.4V LiPo. Any voltage higher than 9.6V may damage the toy. We recommend using high-quality BBs weighing 0.25g for optimal performance. We do not recommend using low-quality BBs or reusing BBs as it may damage the replica.
