Product Description
Brief History
In the early 1990s, the Israeli company, Israel Military Industries, responsible for creating the renowned Desert Eagle, was compelled by customer demands to develop a more conventional and easier-to-handle pistol. Thus, IMI, pressed for time, created the Jericho 941, based on a platform that had already been copied. This refers to the Italian Tanfoglio, which was copied from the Czechoslovak CA-75.
Shortly after, exports to America began with the help of the American company K.B.I. Inc of Harrisburg PA. A few years later, O.F. Mossberg & Sons also started importing, renaming the pistol to Uzi Eagle. Magnum Research Inc quickly entered the American market with the Jericho 941, this time under the names Baby Eagle, Baby Desert Eagle, and even Desert Eagle.
Despite the multiple names, the Jericho 941 is the same pistol with minor improvements over the years. Today, the production of the Jericho 941 has been transferred to Israeli Weapon Industries due to the privatization of Israel Military Industries.
Description
The airsoft replica marketed by Cybergun is based on KWC and operates on a CO2 system without recoil. Upon pulling the trigger, a BB from the magazine is fed into the barrel while the striker is cocked and released. Thus, the trigger pull is somewhat longer than in recoil-operated pistols, and the pressure required to pull it is higher.
Exterior of the Replica
The exterior of the airsoft replica is primarily made of quality ABS plastic and accurately mimics the shape of the real firearm. Its weight is reduced and well-balanced, making it easy to handle. The slide is fixed and does not move in any way. The safety is ambidextrous and is located in its designated place (above the grip). The magazine is made of metal, and its relatively heavy weight significantly balances the pistol.
Interior of the Replica
The firing mechanism is extremely simple and practical, ensuring very good reliability. Quality metal components are used, making it resistant to wear. The airsoft replica does not feature an adjustable hop-up system but utilizes a new hop-up system called BAX. With the help of this new system and a speed of 105 meters per second measured with 0.20g BBs, the engagement distances are not to be overlooked.
Power Source
The airsoft replica operates on CO2. The magazine has a slot for a 12g CO2 cartridge. At the bottom of the magazine, there is a cap with a hex screw. Using the hex key included in the package, this cap can be removed, and the CO2 cartridge is inserted with the thin end inside, after which the cap is securely screwed back on. It is loaded with 6mm airsoft BBs from the top, the magazine is inserted into the airsoft replica, and it is ready to fire.
Warning: It is recommended to spray a small amount of silicone oil on the contact seal surface before installing a new CO2 cartridge. It is not recommended to store the CO2 cartridge in the airsoft replica; after each use, even if the cartridge is not empty, it should be removed to protect the seals.
