Product Description
Brief History
Designed in the 1890s by John Browning, intended to represent a step forward from the revolvers of the time. The project was continued by Colt Industries and after rigorous testing, the project was approved. In 1911, it was introduced as standard equipment for the U.S. Army. The pistol was revised in 1924, with minor modifications to its exterior appearance. Since then, it has remained unchanged. After a century of use worldwide, the Colt 1911 remains the most significant pistol in human history.
Exterior of the Replica
This replica marketed by AW Custom is made entirely of metal, crafted using CNC machines, which were used to engrave the markings. The exceptional "worn" style finish along with the markings places this replica among collectible items. Molon Labe comes from the Greek language and means "Come and take it," a phrase popularized from King Leonidas's response to King Xerxes's demand for the Spartan army to surrender their weapons. Today, this phrase is often used by supporters of the Second Amendment (the right to bear arms) in the United States, symbolizing defiance against potential "tyranny" that could infringe upon their rights. The sights of the replica are fixed but well-aligned. The safety mechanisms of the replica are as follows: a trigger safety located at the back of the grip. Thus, without a firm grip in hand, the trigger cannot be activated. There is also a hammer safety. This safety is ambidextrous and can only be used when the hammer is cocked. The operation of the replica is similar to that of the real weapon. To cock it, the slide must be racked. At this point, the internal mechanism is cocked and a BB is fed into the barrel. The pistol features recoil, similar to the real weapon, which serves to feed the next BB and re-cock the mechanism.
Interior of the Replica
The internals of the replica are made of metal. When used under proper conditions and maintained adequately, it is a durable replica with minimal chances of malfunction. The magazine holds 15 6mm BBs.
To disassemble the replica, the slide catch must be removed, after which the slide is released forward. Through this operation, we can also access and adjust the Hop-Up, which is consistent and precise. The accuracy of this airsoft replica is very good. It is recommended to use 0.20g BBs for optimal performance. The velocity of the replica measured with 0.20g BBs is 80-85 meters per second.
Power Source
This replica operates on green gas. We recommend using only high-quality BBs and not reusing BBs as it may cause the replica to malfunction.
