Ares Amoeba AMM7 Mutant

Presentation

Amoeba is a direct branch of Ares and specializes in implementing the latest technologies in the airsoft field. Amoeba replicas have been appreciated since their inception many years ago for their performance in terms of accuracy and reliability. The polymer body has proven to be a resilience that is hard to match even by some full metal replicas. The EFCS system has managed all these years of electric replicas in this range and has done so well that it has become a true model for other manufacturers.

Exterior of the replica

When we hear Ares Amoeba, we immediately think of their plastic body. Thus, once again, the AMM7 Mutant model is made from plastic materials. This is not a bad thing as it offers good elasticity when we bump the replica against walls. However, the important connection systems are made of metal. On the upper side, there is the classic Picatinny rail, which will help us mount a wide range of optics, and at the front, the handguard is equipped with M-Lok.

And now for the interesting part, the front (handguard) can be detached by removing a single pin. Immediately after, the outer barrel can be removed by unscrewing 2 hex screws. In 2 steps and 3 moves, we have detached the entire front section, which we can replace with other lengths for different configurations.

The stock of the replica is retractable and allows it to be attached or secured to the forearm of the hand. This should somehow help when you want to use the replica with one hand. The replica's mag catch is ambidextrous, but the fire selector is not. For securing the sling, we can use a small ring located under the stock extension mechanism of the replica.

Interior of the replica

The gearbox is a modified V2 designed to accommodate the EFCS electronic control system, which manages the timing of the entire gearbox and provides a very good trigger response. For the most part, the internals of the gearbox are standard, but we strongly recommend a thorough analysis of the components you wish to replace. The piston has all metal teeth, and the gears are made of quality steel. Inside the ejection port, there is an adjustment for the hop-up adjustment. The firing speed is 105-110m/s using 0.20g BBs.

Power Supply

The package does not include a battery and battery charger. Upon purchasing the replica, we recommend also getting a battery and a corresponding charger. The replica works best with 7.4-11.1V LiPo batteries. We recommend using high-quality BBs and not reusing BBs as this may damage the replica.a0
