Overview

Ares is a relatively young company in the airsoft field, yet it offers high-quality products and services at an advantageous price. Exterior of the Replica

This replica is model 014 and, like other Amoeba models, is made from plastic. This is not a bad thing, as it significantly reduces the overall weight of the replica. The front rail system is made of aluminum, and the rail sections can be rearranged at will using hex screws. At the front, there is a metal muzzle brake that gives the replica a pleasant appearance and slightly improves sound concealment. The retractable stock rails are made of metal, while the rear part is plastic. Behind the receiver, forming the stock support, is the battery storage space. The replica is equipped with a classic, foldable sighting system. Note that it is not adjustable in any way. The magazine release button is enlarged for easy access. The fire selector is located on the left side.

Interior of the Replica

The gearbox of the replica resembles version 2, but the similarity ends there. The entire gearbox is managed by an electronic unit. This electronic unit ensures the proper functioning of the replica. It is equipped with Mosfet, Active breaking, Soft start and, most importantly, can be set to operate in one of the semi, burst, or auto modes on the fire selector positions. This modification can only be done with a special device that is not included in the package. The gears are made of steel, and the piston is reinforced. The main mechanical components are standard, allowing for upgrades. Ares has equipped this toy with the ability to quickly replace the spring without removing the gearbox, only the stock tube. The replica's motor is high torque, capable of compressing fairly strong springs. Thanks to the electronic control system, the trigger response is very good.

Power Supply

The package does not include a battery and battery charger. Upon purchasing the replica, we recommend that you look for a suitable battery and charger. The replica can operate with 8.4-9.6V NiMh or 7.4-11.1V LiPo. Crane-shaped batteries are recommended for NiMh, and compact stick batteries for LiPo. It is recommended to use 0.25g BBs for optimal performance and do not reuse BBs.
