Overview

APS Limited, or more broadly Accuracy Pneumatics Shooting, was established in 2001 and initially focused on the development and manufacturing of training equipment such as markers and special ammunition for these markers. Over time, APS has also developed its airsoft branch, producing airsoft replicas and accessories.

The presented replica is part of the Guardian series, specifically the ASR 112 H BB model. This airsoft replica is recommended for CQB. Its design is both aesthetically pleasing and practical, allowing for good customization.

Exterior of the Replica

The 112 H BB airsoft replica is primarily made of metal alloys, contributing to a lightweight design that enhances maneuverability. The front features a modular rail system. The replica's suppressor is purely decorative and does not serve to reduce sound. This suppressor can be removed to install another device. There is a standard rail along the entire top of the airsoft replica, allowing for the mounting of nearly any type of advanced sighting device; red-dot sights, scopes, and more. This airsoft replica is also equipped with a classic flip-up sight, and to operate the sights, you need to press the button located at the front. The plastic components of this toy include the motor grip and the stock. The stock of the airsoft replica is adjustable and of the SOPMOD type, allowing for the installation of crane-type batteries.

For attaching a sling, you can use the 4 quick-detach systems located on the front rail system, one of which is positioned above the grip facing backward.

Interior of the Replica

The action is powered by an APS version 2 gearbox. At first glance, it appears to be a standard V2 gearbox; strictly speaking, the gears, piston, spring, and other small components are indeed standard, while the casing has been slightly modified to allow for the installation of a blowback system and to enable the removal of the guide without disassembling the casing. This makes the operation of replacing the spring or servicing the gearbox much easier.

The hop-up chamber is metal, making it much more resistant to wear. When correctly adjusted, the hop-up adjustment will enhance effective range. It should be noted that there may be traces of grease inside the hop-up chamber and the inner barrel, so careful cleaning of the hop-up assembly is recommended. This airsoft replica is equipped with an active bolt catch. Once the charging lever is activated, the protective tab of the ejection port will remain open until the bolt catch is engaged, greatly facilitating hop-up adjustment. The velocity of the airsoft replica is approximately 110-115m/s measured with 0.20g BBs. For optimal performance, 0.25g BBs are recommended.

Power Supply

With the purchase of the airsoft replica, it is recommended to acquire a LiPo battery with a maximum of 7.4V that fits in the SOPMOD stock or a NiMh battery no larger than 9.6V of the Crane mini type. Any higher voltage may severely damage the toy. It is recommended to use high-quality BBs for optimal performance and to ensure the proper functioning of the airsoft replica.
