Overview

This model represents the AKS-74 and is intended for paratrooper troops. The side-folding stock is much easier to operate compared to the classic removable stock like the S variant, allowing for quick extension and retraction of the replica. The manufacturer APS provides us with a slightly improved replica, equipping the body with a mount for a side rail. 

Exterior of the Replica

The body of the weapon is made from stamped steel and the assembly of the replica is similar to the real one. Unlike the classic method adopted by Tokyo Marui, where the body consists of 2 distinct parts joined by 4 screws, the APS  body is assembled using pins and press-fit systems. This gives the body enhanced robustness. On the left side, there is a mount for optical systems, and the gas deflector is larger than in the previous model.

Interior of the Replica

As we have come to expect from APS, the replica is equipped with a recoil system. This system is mechanically operated, allowing for a complete cycle with each shot. The gearbox is V3 but not standard. The internals are mostly standard, allowing for upgrades when desired. The hop-up chamber allows for hop-up adjustment adjustments, with the adjustment lever located inside the ejection port. The speed at which the replica fires BBs is 110-115 m/s using 0.20g ammunition.

Power Supply

The toy comes with a hicap magazine and that’s about it. You will need to purchase a battery and a charger separately. The gearbox supports 8.4V and 9.6V NiMH batteries and 7.4V LiPo. We recommend using high-quality BBs for optimal performance. Do not use low-quality BBs and do not reuse BBs as it may damage the replica.
