Product Description
NiMH battery, or more specifically Nickel Metal Hydride, brand 8Fields made up of 7 cells resulting in 8.4V and a capacity of 1600 mAh. This type of battery is stick-shaped, meaning it has a small diameter and a longer length. This allows for installation in tight spaces specifically designed for AEG batteries. They are primarily used on AK and MP5K platforms, but there are others as well.
The quality of the batteries is very good, and the wires and connectors are durable.
WARNING:
- Nickel-Metal-Hydride (NiMH) batteries can be dangerous.
- The user must take all precautions for: potential fire, bodily harm, and property damage.
- If improperly used, damaged, or defective, NiMH batteries can catch fire, generate smoke, and cause poisoning.
- By purchasing this type of battery, the user assumes responsibility for any risks associated with NiMH batteries.
- NiMH batteries are not toys and should not be left within reach of children as they can pose a real danger to their health.
- NiMH batteries should not be thrown into fire, placed in an oven or microwave as they may explode.
- NiMH batteries contain harmful chemicals.
- Do not attempt to charge mechanically or chemically damaged batteries.
Actions Leading to Battery Damage
- Connecting in series or parallel with another cell or battery even if they appear similar.
- Exceeding maximum and minimum operating voltages.
- A temperature drop or rise outside the allowed limits.
- A charging current that is too high.
- Using a charger without battery detection.
- Short-circuiting the battery terminals.
- Subjecting the battery to mechanical shocks such as: dropping, hitting, bending, cutting, twisting, deforming, or puncturing.
- Contact with liquids.
- Improvising an improper charging setup.
- Using inappropriate, improvised charging cables.
General Information
- NiMH battery packs are made up of cells.
- Each NiMH battery has a power connector that is usually also used for charging it.
- It is recommended to charge batteries with chargers that have an automatic shut-off feature.
- The charging current should not exceed 50% of the battery's total capacity.
- The nominal voltage of the battery is determined by the number of cells. For example: 7 cells = 8.4V, 8 cells = 9.6V.
- Each cell has a maximum voltage of 1.4V that should not be exceeded during charging and a minimum voltage that should not drop below 0.84V.
- It is recommended to charge NiMH batteries with the lowest possible current.
- It is recommended to maintain charging-discharging cycles as accurately as possible.
